Groban's interest for the dramatic arts began in high-school, when he joined the drama club to avoid home economics. Although Groban has since admitted in interviews that he'd always been fond of putting himself in other people's shoes, he could never have imagined to pursue acting as a career. His quick affair with the theather was put on hold when he joined Bridgewater College in Virginia, with a major Economics & Business Administration School right out of highschool. It wasn't until three years later that he would be convinced to apply and audition for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, encouraged by longtime friend, OPEN, who believed he was wasting his talent. Groban was accepted into the AADA and invited back for his second year, being accredited a year later, performing in small stages and landing small appearances on TV shows, until he finally got a break in 2004, with the part of Rawdon Crawley in Vanity Fair. He'd earlier landed starring roles in movies such as Phone Booth (2002) and Cellular (2004), but it was Vanity Fair (2004) that finally projected his image internationally. Today, Groban is better known for his recent work as Bruce Wayne/Batman in 2006's Batman Begins and 2008's The Dark Knight, currently in post-production phase. He has recently started working as a producer, and is currently engaged in the production and filming of V for Vendetta (2008), which promises to be another box-office hit.
